Grp boxes clever
LIAISON between Barking Vehicle Engineering Co Ltd and Star Aluminium Co Ltd has resulted in the production of a newly-designed single skin grp box body.
The design is claimed to herald a "new era" for the delivery fleet of Wiggins Teape Stationery Ltd and to avoid problems with load restraints in former designs.
New dies To fulfil the contract for three Dodies, Star Aluminium cut new lies for the cant rails and corner Pillars to accept 14mm (0.5in) grp board.
Corner pillar and cant rail radii lave been reduced from the nore usual 50mm to 35mm rvhich will allow Air Vane fuel 3conomy kits to be fitted while mproving the appearance and :leariliness of a vehicle at the ;ame time.
Alloy rails Drained roller enclosures keep he cargo dry. Interior chequered illoy rub rails protect the palleised shrink wrapped goods durng loading, and other body feaures include a bonderised rear teel frame, under-run bumper, Dad control system, and a Wiafloor non-slip resin-impreglated floor.
