• Getting on and off buses is the biggest problem facing disabled people, and is the main reason why they do not use buses, according to a report in consumer magazine Which?
The report, prepared by the Research Institute for Consumer Affairs, says that waiting for buses and moving about on them also presented difficulties. It criticises the slow introduction of the features recommended by the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DirrAc) white praising bus drivers' generally helpful attitude.
o Donnobile, the Folkestonebased bodybuilder, is conducting a survey to evaluate the design of the next generation of welfare vehicles in the UK.
