Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new computerised North Sheffield service scheme has been introduced by South Yorkshire Transport.

A total of 31 routes have been changed, retimed or rebranded in a rationalisation scheme which embraces both SYT and Sheaf Line routes. Much of the network was designed using computers.

Three new 'Mainline' routes have been introduced and operate from a separate expanded Mainline unit at Herries Road, together with 30 buses, 95 staff and a fleet of doubledeckers which have been replaced by 50 Volvo singledeckers at Greenland Road.

A total of 50 new 'Eager Beaver' Renault S56 minibuses are also in service, featuring a luggage pen and reduced seating after criticism of earlier Beavers. Four new routes have been converted to minibus operation.

One route and a number of tendered journeys have been transferred to Sheaf Line in a move to contain costs and operate at lower frequency than other branded services.

Altogether about 100 doubledeckers will be displaced by the new vehicles.
