• Two more bus company mergers have been referred to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission following Stagecoach's takeover of Portsmouth Citybus. The deals under investigation are Stagecoach's acquisition of Formia in the Hastings area, and Western Travel's takeover of G&G Coaches in Warwickshire. The Formia deal leaves Stagecoach with a market share of nearly 70% in the area: WI's acquisition gives it about two-thirds of subsidised bus routes in Warwickshire.
