• Mayne Nickless, the Australian transport company which plans to set up a contract distribution operation in Europe, has bought a Dutch food distribution company, Van Der Heijden.
Lindsay Bytheway, chairman of Mayne Nickless UK, parent company of Parceline, Security Express and Armagard, says the company is still seeking contract distribution acquisitions in the UK but it has not had much success so far.
