• A new fleet of 20 specially adapted curtainsided Mercedes-Benz 17-tonners have joined the Coca-Cola Schweppes fleet. A dozen of the new vehicles have been converted by Chassis Developments to provide a step-frame chassis thereby lowering the Don Bur body's loading height to 610nun. They are also fitted with twin fuel tanks, and air reservoirs located beneath the loading frame to minimise encroachment. The remaining eight new trucks are specified with factory-fitted airsuspension, which can raise or lower the vehicle's loading height by 200nun.
