TRAILERS equipped to run on road or rail are being developed in America jointly by Firestone Industrial Products Co and the US Bi-Modal Corporation. They are called Road Railers.
Nearly half a century ago th former LMS Railway had th same idea for passenger tram port with the Karrier Ro-Railei This 26-seat coach based on th Karrier Chaser chassis wit 110bhp petrol engine appeare in 1931.
Once again an idea heralde in America as new originated i Britain, only to be discarded.
