VOLVO has now phased out its last naturally aspirated engii with the result that the entire Volvo lorry range is no exclusively turbocharged.
The Gothenburg company was in fact the first to make turbocharged engines a standard fitment for commercial vehicles back in 1954.
The last vehicle to use a naturally aspirated engine was the F610. This is now fitted with t newly developed TD60C turt charged engine which gives extra 22kW (30bhp). Vol claims that the use of a turf charger for the F610 giv lower fuel consumption, quie running and a cleaner exhaus
