VOLKSWAGEN is to fit th diesel engine used in the Go passenger car to the one-tc Transporter.
This will be launched in GE many in September of this ye with the UK version being ava able during the first half 1981.
Following the diesel versio a petrol-powered model will I produced later in 1981.
Both these Golf-engin( variants will be produced in a dition to the familiar air-coon flat-four petrol engine which h powered the Transporter sin its introduction in 1954.
As with the air-cooled moc the new variants will be handl, by the Volkswagen car divisii rather than by MAN-VW.
