• The North Western Traffic Commissioners have granted through express services between the North West and South East coastal resorts as applied for by three groups of joint operators last month.
' North Western Road Car Co. Ltd., Southdown Motor Services Ltd. and Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co. Ltd.. which at present have connecting facilities between Manchester and Eastbourne, have been granted the express service for summer weekends. with setting down points at Brighton, Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne.
Similar services will be operated by Associated Motorways. George Ewer and Co. Ltd. and Yelloway Motor Services Ltd. from Haslingden to Eastbourne. Ribble Motor Services Ltd., Southdown and W. C. Standerwick Ltd. were granted services from Colne and Blackpool to the same destination.
