THE issued share capital of V.W. Motors, Ltd., sole concessionnaires for Volkswagen vehicles in the United Kingdom, has been acquired by Thomas Tilling, Ltd.
Lord Brabazon of Tara, a director of Thomas Tilling, Ltd., will succeed Mr. S. O'Flaherty as chairman of V.W. Motors. Mr. O'Flaherty becomes deputy chairman. Mr. P. H. D. Ryder, managing director of Thomas Tilling, becomes a director of V.W. Motors.
Through their subsidiary, Stratstone, Ltd., Thomas Tilling held a partial distributorship for Volkswagen vehicles. They now have exclusive rights of distribution and service.
There are estimated to be about 16,000 Volkswagens in the kingdom.
