Cheltenham Corporation has decided that seven trailers made by the Eagle Engineering Co., Ltd., of Warwick, be purchased from the Victory Motor Co., Ltd., at the price of £160 each, and three Vorcison tractors, equipped with cabs, lamps, etc., complete, for £265 each,

At a meeting of the Cheltenham Watch Committee, Councillor Dicks suggested that the local bus companies should be approached with a view to running, at id. fares, a bus service to and from Pittville Gardens on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. The town clerk was instructed to ask the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co., Ltd., if it would provide such a service.

Cheltenham Watch Committee has further considered the application from the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co., Ltd., for licences for a service to Evesham. The motor hackney-carriage inspector reported that he had examined Mr. Martin's buses and found them to be satisfactory, and that he was now running a good service to Evesham. The application for the Bristol company was not granted, as the committee considers that the present service is sufficient for the needs of traffic.
