Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TRAILER MANUFACTURER Boalloy has drastically reduced its boxvan build times to less than two weeks, thanks to new manufacturing methods. Previously the process could take up to six weeks.

The new system, called Fastruck, has enabled Boalloy to reach its weekly production target in less than two months since the system was introduced. There are now plans to increase output to 50 vehicles per week.

The operation uses a twin flow line system of body assembly, employing a workforce of more than 50 people in a new 2400m2 factory. Jim Gibb, sales and marketing director, says: The rolling material programme for standard Fastruck vehicles enables bodies to be finished in less than two days from entering the production cycle. The same applies to customised bodies which can also be incorporated into the building programme." The company has also set up a similar flow line for its 7.5 and I8-tonne curtainsided rigids with a third production line scheduled for dropside bodies to be added later in the year.
