• Landfill and environmental group Shanks and McEwan has taken delivery of what it believes is the largest combined sweeper/surface cleaning vehicle in the UK.
The Swiss-made Frimokar machine is based on a left-handdrive 4.4m Iveco EuroTech 180E30 300hp 4x2 chassis with heavy-duty suspension and a vertical exhaust When road cleaning Frimokar's hydrostatic gearbox gives variable speeds to 30km/h with the truck in top gear and the engine running at 1,5001,80Orpm.
It sweeps or scrapes a 2.6mwide swathe and can give a high pressure wash (up to 120 Bar) or vacuum from the rear, Dual bars at the front can wash a 3.0m path if required.
