The job takes about 1.5 hours and involves a full diagnostic check run on the engine's dynamic timing torque output, compression, valve sealing and piston ring blow by. Quicks, the lveco Ford dealer in Manchester, has initiated the service which is aimed primarily at those travelling to countries where breakdowns are hard to deal with.
In the future the 'health check' con be added into the standard service. As well as detecting engine problems, Quicks says that keeping the Fuel system operating at the optimum can give a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel economy.
