Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Furniture and carpet retailer Harris Queensway has terminated its £9-million-a-year dedicated distribution contract with National Carriers Contract Services, only four months after signing a four-year deal.

Now NCCS is to seek compensation for breach of contract from the troubled company, which was bought by James Gulliver last week. NCCS, which had 100 personnel, 40 vehicles and two warehouses at Coventry and Warrington dedicated to the contract, says it "would be most regrettable" if it had to "pursue a claim through legal channels" — but it says the loss of the contract will have no impact on its other customers.
