• Workers at six depots of the soft drinks company Coca Cola and Schweppes Beverages — including 800 lorry drivers, their mates, and warehousemen — will vote next week on whether to hold a national strike.
The Transport and General Workers' Union members claim that management is breaking wages and conditions agreements.
A proposed site at Wakefield is not covered by security of employment deals, say the workers, and other new depots at Enfield and Northampton are "being built to operate outside the national agreement".
