If Chrysler finds me hawkish, they should have greater respect for language. So should the Freight Transport Association who, I suspect, are playing with some of those dreadful boys at the Department of Transport. Where else would they have learnt to talk about "sensitive" routes?

These I take to be roads that are subject to pimples, not flushes and twitches, and erupt violently when criticised. They are often identified by a sign symbolising a girl lying down. Whether she is lying on her back or front is uncertain, but either way she is highly sensitive to being run over.
