Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The spotlight is turned on the buses operated by Britain's four Passenger Transport Executives in the latest "in camera" book from Ian Allan Ltd, Terminal House, Shepperton, Middx. Entitled PTE Buses in Camera it is a 128-page production costing £2.90, and the title is misleading to the extent that it includes numerous photographs of pre-war, wartime and early post-war buses withdrawn from service long before the vesting dates of the undertakings concerned.

This said, the book is an interesting photographic record of the vehicles and liveries of the PTEs and their predecessor services. Half the book is devoted to SELNEC and the earlier Lancashire town and city services in that area. D.M.
