• East Kent Road Car Co Ltd has introduced as from July 1 experimentally at Dover adult season tickets covering basic single fares from 3p to 12p.
"If the trial is successful", said Mr John Bodger, the company's traffic manager, "we shall extend it to other areas because we believe people making five or more return journeys a week for work, shopping and so forth would welcome a real incentive to buy a season."
The new weekly seasons offer a discount of at least 10 per cent on 3 to 12p fares, with IS per cent reductions on monthly and 20 per cent on quarterly tickets covering fares up to 10p. They are valid on any journey between authorized stops and can be used as often as desired.
