Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QCOTTISH Rural Gas, Ltd„ whose ■ --) headquarters are in Perth, have begun a fleet replacement scheme, spread over the next 12 months. They have just taken delivery of the first batch of 20 Ford 30-cwt. diesel-engined trucks, supplied by Frew and Co., Ltd., Perth.

The new vehicles are finished in the company's new orange and grey colour scheme, incorporating the new S.R.G. motif, designed by George Collett Associates, the London design consultants.

The new colour scheme is a complete change from the company's old blue fleet colour, and the change has been made because it was felt there were so many blue vehicles on the road and a more distinctive look was needed.

This "new look" will be gradually extended to take in all the company's vehicles, offices, depots and showrooms, and even their own aeroplane.

B.T.C. Receipts Rise

DURING the four weeks to June 18, last, traffic receipts of the British Transport Commission's road passenger services increased. London Transport earned £4,588,000 compared with £4,558,000 in the same period of 1960. During the same comparative period the Provincial and Scottish buses earned £5,324,000 this year and £5,099,000 in 1960.

APPEAL REFUSED

'THE appeal by W. Robinson and Sons

(Great Harwood), Ltd., against a decision by the North Western Traffic Commissioners last August, refusing the grant of a modification to an excursions and tours licence with regard to the carriage of passengers from feeder services at Preston, Darwen, Blackburn, Bolton and Chorley to the Norfolk Broads and Great Yarmouth, has been refused by the Minister of Transport.

It seemed clear, he states, that the grant could hardly have failed to lead to abstraction from existing services.
