WITH the manufacture of is,765 cars, VY commercial vehicles and tractors during the past month, the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., has established a new production record. This brings the total for the first six months of this year to ,100,890 vehicles, compared with 151,793 produced during the whole of 1949.
The £12,000,000 equipment programme announced in May is now going ahead. Work has already started on •a new battery of coke ovens, and on a new 150,000 sq. ft. building on the north side of the present factory.
