• A S Jones & Co of Merseyside, part of P&O Roadtanks, is to distribute BEOCO edible oils in a contract worth £750,000 in the first 12 months.
About 20 vehicles a day will be used on the contract, operating out of BEOCO's Liverpool headquarters, including four new ERF E Series 4x2 sleeper cabs powered by 216kW Cummins L10 engines driving through Eaton 12-speed Twin Splitter gearboxes.
The 29,000-litre singlecompartment stainless steel tanks have been built by Universal Bulk Handling to Jones' own specifications. The majority of former BEOCO drivers have transferred to Jones.
