GREEN TECH GROUND Maintenance has been given the green light to base two vehicles and one trailer at Rear Units in Shaw Heath, Stockport, subject to conditions: • the authorised vehicles at this operating centre shall not exceed 7.5 tonne GVVV; • the authorised trailer at this operating centre shall not exceed 3.5 tonne GVVV; • when using the side entrance, the authorised vehicles shall enter and exit in forward gear. They shall be assisted by a banksman wearing high-vis clothing, who shall be positioned outside of the vehicle so as to be able to assist the driver to enter and leave safely; • when using the side entrance, the authorised vehicles shall exit via a right-hand turn towards Shaw Heath; • when using the rear entrance, the authorised vehicles shall enter in reverse gear and leave in forward gear. Again, they shall be assisted by a banksman wearing high-vis clothing, who will be positioned outside of the vehicle so as to be able to assist the driver to enter safely; • there shall be no operation, movement, loading or unloading of the authorised vehicles and trailer before 6am or after 6pm Mondays to Fridays; • no operation, movement, loading or unloading of the authorised vehicles and trailer on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays will take place, except for emergency work.
