North East Truck and Van's new outlet in Hull sits on the old Pendragon site on Hedon Road, opposite the port entrance. "Acquiring the two MAN service agents in the area, and the subsequent transfer of franchise to NETV, meant we needed to look for a larger site which could accommodate all our services under one roof," McDonald explains. "A few months later we realised there was a 'For Sale' sign here."
After the site was purchased, renovating it was a major undertaking: "It suffered from neglect -that would be a nice way to put it. We gutted it from top to bottom. We have our own maintenance team and we did the refurbishment ourselves. I am quite proud that we did it two months."
The three-acre site includes 12 full-length, drive-through bays. NETV offers repair and maintenance CVs from small vans to 44-tonne tractors; Class? MoTs; analogue and digital tachograph calibration; and brake testing.
