in 2007, according to its latest figures, although pre-tax profit dropped by nearly half to £588,000.
The Worcestershire haulier, whose transport arm trades as TM Logistics, posted turnover figures up from £28.9m to £30.15m in the year ending 30 June 2007. The turnover increase took it back closer to the 2005 level of £31.2m.
The fall in profit, down from El .08m in 2006 was partly attributed to a pay-off of a family director who retired, as well as severance payments incurred from the sale of Worcester Truck Services. Comparisons with the previ out. financial year were also affected by an early termination of a contract in 2006 which led tc an exceptional profit of nearly £100,000.
The company expects "an improvement ir future results following a restructure".
