CLEVELAND-BASED road transport group Devereux Developments saw pre-tax profit more than treble in the year ended 31 March 2007.

Profit rose to £289,803, according to figures issued last week, against £85.455 for the previous 12 months.

Turnover was not revealed in the abbreviated accounts, but the number of employees rose from 172 to 182 and the wage bill went up from £4.1m to £4.6m.
