KENT POLICE are looking for information about a red van believed to have been involved in a road-rage incident that left a truck driver with a lacerated eyeball and glass embedded in his cheek.

The incident occurred just after 6am last Thursday (7 February) on the A21 northbound at Morleys roundabout, near Sevenoaks. The driver of a white Ford lveco 7.5-tonne refrigerated truck rang the police after his windscreen was smashed by an object he believes was thrown from another vehicle.

The driver, who has not been named, says he became aware of the passenger in the van shouting at him just before the windscreen smashed.

Police Constable Paul Scott says: "His eyesight could have been permanently damaged or he could have lost control of his vehicle on a busy road. I urge anyone who saw a red panel van with a ladder on the roof to contact the police on 01732379217."
