• Grimsby council has added ten Jack Allen refuse collectors to its fleet of municipal vehicles, eight on Phaser-engined Britannia 6x4 chassis and one on a Leyland Daf 30.26. 30.49 tonner.
All are equipped with Colectornatic 22 or 26 compactor bodies, Eurohoist III lift gear for 120 to 1,100kg Continental and Paladin waste bins. In addition, Grimsby has taken a L-Daf Roadrunner 10.13 with Jack Allen Bear bodywork, a 10m3 compactor body with Continental bin lift and scissor frame beneath it
This is designed to elevate the body and discharge its load into a larger support vehicle.
