dispensing units, it is quite conceivable to overcome the annual problem of diesel waxing by fitting electrical heating devices in the storage tank and around the suction pipe, but this still leaves the pump, which is probably not used through the night when the temperature is at its lowest.
There are also a very large number of installations on farms and on building sites where power supply is not available. There is also the waxing in the tank on the vehicle.
Why should industry spend thousands of pounds on equipment that can only overcome part of the trouble? Yes, additives are available, but transport does not always take on fuel at the same location.
The answer is with the fuel supplier: the oil companies. Comment from the oil companies would be welcome. E W Taylor
