Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

10 issue when I notice that the Mercedes 1635 advertised by Cumbria Commercials had exactly the same registration plate as the Mercedes 1644 you had road tested.

Surely in this day and age when truck thefts are on the increase, two totally different trucks should not have the same registration plates, even in a magazine. What is the reason behind this?

Nick Walker Leicester Well spotted, Mr Walker; D44 HWX is really the 1644 we tested: its number plate was borrowed for the 1635 for a photographic session — on private ground, we are assured! Ed.
