motorway junctions has been introduced as an experiment in the North Rhine/Westphalia region. The numbers are black on a white circle; if the scheme is a success it may spread throughout West Germany, LI Firms operating into West Germany could face higher fuel bills if the country's taxpayers' association gets its way. It is calling for road tax and fuel tax to be combined so foreign drivers would make a "fairer contribution" to road maintenance costs.
