Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Wilcox Group has developed a 49m3 aluminium container designed for bulk plastic pellets and similar commodities for its ISO range of road/rail/sea bulk transporters.

Mounted on a Seadyke tipping skeletal semi-trailer, with an Edbro DS18 tipping ram, it is being operated by P&O Tankniasters at Felixstowe on evaluation trials.

The container, which measures 9.14m long, 2.44m wide, and 2.59m high, is the latest development in monocoque design and has four 457mm-square hatches for roof loading, and a 273mm diameter vent for gravity discharge.

High grade aluminium alloy is used and with pressed sections gives high strength and an unladen weight as low as 1,800kg.

Aluminium is used extensively in the pneumatic discharge system including the air thinking, non-return valve silencer and Unicone couplings for the discharge hoses.

To handle plastic pellets the discharge system has a 330x406mm stainless steel Rota Val seal and there are two 4.57m stainless steel discharge hoses, also encased in plastic hose tubes. These connect to a two-way nearside or offside discharge facility.
