• National Carriers Contract Services' 21.6 million warehousing and distribution contract with Harris Queenswav Electrical has been boosted by 2900,000 to take account of the growth of I larris Queensway.
Much of the extra money will be spent on a new 4,200m2 warehouse at Swindon, which will complement the warehouse at Lutterworth.
An extra six drivers and six Mercedes 1625s have been added to the contract, as well as an extra 19 warehouse and administrative staff.
In the last two years the number of Harris Queensway Electrical stores has risen from 70 to 140. The new business brings NCCS's total contract with Harris Queensway to 24.9 million.
