A BATTLE has broken out in Brussels between the Netherlands a Britain over the top job in the EEC Commission's Transport Din torate.
The £39,000 post will shortly become vacant with the retirement of Raymond Le Goy, 62, a Briton who has held the post since soon after Britain joined the Common Market.
