MAN-VW is offering its LT31 with a longer wheelbase — increased from 2.5m (8.2ft) to 2.95m (9.6ft) — to give a longer load platform of 3.5m ,11ft 5in).
Powered by a two-litre Audi petrol engine rated at 55kW (74bhp) with the option of a fouror five-speed gearbox, or with a Perkins 4.165 diesel engine rated at 485kW (65bhp) and a four speed gearbox, the model is to be marketed with a high roof option to provide a total load capacity of 11.9cum (410cuft).
At the rear, a full-height door will provide access to the internal overall load height of 1.87cm (fift 2in), and with the larger volume a kerb weight of 1,745kg (34.3cwt) provides for a payload of 1,615kg (31.8cwt).
