A MANCHESTER international haulier has opened a 150-vehio overnight lorry park at Trafford Park, with a £2 charge per vehicle.
Lee Crossley, who operates three vehicles of his own and additional lorries on subcontract, mostly between Ireland and Romania, has acquired a 2.5-acre site at Trafford Wharf Road, Trafford Park, and is offering overnight parking for all classes of operator. The site comprises concra hard-standing with drainac and shower facilities, toilets, a a mess room. He is also arrar ing for minibuses to be provid as a link between the lorry r:N and pubs in the Manches area.
Initially, the site has been us to store Ford commerc, vehicles, but these are now I ing moved out and Mr Cross is looking for haulage clients. added that he saw the lorry p. as a more lucrative expansion his business than the purcha of extra lorries.
He proposes to add a comm cial vehicle washing servi later, and will provide inter tank washing services and ree cleaning facilities for around to £8 a time.
