TO make overtaking safer in British vehicles on Continental roads, Joseph Lucas, Ltd., Great King St., Birmingham. 19, are now producing a set of two interior mirrors which can be used in the manner of a horizontal periscope to see around vehicles ahead.
A centre rectangular mirror is provided for mounting on the dash at the centre of the windscreen, and a circular mirror for attaching just below the top of the windscreen on the pillar opposite to the driver. The equipment costs £11 17s. 6d.
New Dagenite 6v. Battery THE range of Dagenite commercial' vehicle batteries produced by Holsun Batteries, Ltd., 137 Victoria Street, London, S.W,I, has been increased by the -addition of.a new 6v. unit, type 3GR27-Y. It is designed primarily for replacement on 1957-58 Bedford 7-ton oil-engined vehicles. Copper-cored terminal pillars and intercell connectors are said to improve starting efficiency.
Porvic separators are used, whilst the container is moulded in hard rubber and has end lifting lips. Capacity is 185 a.-h. at the 20-hr. rate. The battery is 16* in. long, 64+, in. wide and 83 in. high, and uncharged costs £13 2s. 6d.

WINDSCREEN wipers in 6v., 12v. and vir 24v. ratings and costing £3 6s. each, together with ignition coils in 6v. and 12v. ratings priced at £.1 19s. each, have been introduced by Robert Bosch, G.m.b.H.. Stuttgart.

Allchin and Co., Ltd„ 253 BordesIcy Green, Birmingham, 9. It consists of an extension hose with valve for the inner tyre, together with a mounting bracket for fitting to the outer wheel studs.
Fitting is simple. All sizes of wheel can be accommodated, and dual sets are available for use where it may be advantageous to equip both inner and outer wheels. Prices are from 19s. 6d.
New Multigrade Oil A REDUCTION in the number of
brands and grades of engine oil for fleets of mixed vehicles, is made possible by the new Delvac Special oil produced by the Mobil Oil Co., Ltd. It meets the • S.A.E. classifications lOW and 30, and is suitable for 20W, 20 and 40 service.
It is claimed that cold engine starting is aided, as well as fuel economy, and full power development during the warming-up period without loss of protection at high operating temperatures and speeds. Consumption is claimed to be equivalent to that of S.A,E. 30 oils.

Portable Vacuum Cleaner 1-1. A PORTABLE vacuum cleaner known
as the Port-a-vac has been introduced by Martindale Electric Co., Ltd., Westmorland Road, London, N.W.9, and should prove useful for cleaning the. interiors of buses, coaches and so on. It is specially designed to enable normally inaccessible places to be cleaned and is carried on a light harness which fits over the user's shoulders.
