LAST week, Ribble Motor Services2. Ltd., placed an order for a further 37 Leyland Cheetah chassis, bringing the total to 77 of this type on order for the company. The model requisitioned is the LZ2, having a wheelbase of 17 ft. 7 ins., which, is equipped with a light six-cylindered petrol engine with a 3i-in. bore and a 5-in. stroke.
Although the Cheetah-a normalcapacity single-decker-was introduced by the Leyland concern only a few months ago, contracts have already been placed, we are informed, fornearly 400 of these chassis.
