Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Heavy lorries should be banned from town centres because they kill too many cyclists, according to two reports to be released next year. The reports, from the Cyclists Touring Club and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, are to be published in the spring. They will suggest selective bans. Research published by the London Accident Analysis Unit last year said that of the 90 cyclists killed in the capital between 1984 and 1993, 40% were killed by trucks, although lorries only make up 5% of traffic.Judging by the accident statistics, cyclists appear to be most vulnerable when they ride on the nearside of trucks turning left.
