CM/Corgi Fantasy Fleet

competition is Anne r CA Hulme of Stalybridge whose fleet of 53 Bedford Box vans scored 3,869 points. Husband David (left), a policeman, entered two fleets under his and Anne's name. "One was for the 53 Bedfords, the other was for a smaller mixed fleet. I wasn't convinced that the single fleet was right even as the scores came through," he admits. Mrs Hulme collected her 25,000 cheque and a commemorative Bedford model at the Corgi Heritage Centre at Heywood near Rochdale last week from CM editor Brian Weatherley and Colin Summerbell, Corgi's UK sales director (right).

No less than six Fantasy Fleet managers entered an allBedford box van fleet. However, Hulme's tie-breaker: "A large standardised fleet is most cost-effective. Ample vehicles are able to satisfy customer demand whilst projecting a recognisable and confident corporate image" ensured her top spot.
