• Following the summer closure of Gateway Foodmarkets' Eastleigh depot, Heronfreight has increased the size of its contract distribution fleet at the food retailer's Bridgwater distribution centre. The company has added 19 tractor units and 44 trailers to deal with the 36 extra stores now handled from Bridgwater. The Eastleigh depot was inherited from Carrefour when the two companies merged in 1986. Carriage at that time was handled by BRS.
