SCANIA (ireat Britain) has reprinted all its specification sheets to show maximum power and torque ratings to the EEC 80/1269 standard as well as to the ISO 1585 standard.
This follows considerable controversy over the confusion caused by manufacturers using a variety of different power standards which cannot readily be compared (CM October 5).
Volvo has also now shown DIN ratings on its British specification sheets in addition to ISO ratings.
