THE STREETS OF London are cleaner this week following the handover of 10 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter Eco Hybrids to eight operators in the capital.
Royal Mail, Amey, DHL, Hill Hire, Ringway, Scottish and Southern, Tesco and TNT are taking part in a three-year, 3,000 Lvehicle environmental trial of the diesel-electric 7.5-tonners, as part of Daimler's global 'Shaping Future Transportation' programme.
Some 300 Canter Eco Hybrids are already in service in Japan, but the London versions will be the first to comply with our own Euro-4 emission standard.
