Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TO supplement the model introduced , last year which is suitable for 6-volt and 12-volt..circuits, G.S.L. Products, Ltd., Breniford, Mirka, now.offer the Standard Startall Major enginestarter for vehicles with 12-volt or 24-volt batteries.

The Major is employed in the same Way as the earlier type. Connections are made to the mains supply and the vehicle battery, and after 1-5 minutes, according to the manner in which the battery accepts the charge, the starter motor can be used. At a demonstration last week, a Gardner-engined Atkinson, with 12v. equipment, was started -almost immediately although it had been standing idle for five months.

Direct starting through a charger in this way is possible by means of a special selenium rectifier in conjunelic with a transformer made by Standa Telephones and Cables, Ltd., makers the units.

The Startall Major has two circui one for starting and the other f charging. Input is 200-250v. 50-i cycles, single-phase. It has a nomin continuous output of 60 amp., or 2' amp. on intermittent service. The ot put can, however, be varied to 2, 5, or 20 amp.

In place of the time switch fitted the smaller version, the Major has thermal switch. Should the operat leave the main switch inadvertently the starter position, the circuit is aut matically broken after 10 min. To 1 establish the circuitthe operator push a green button.
