Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An interesting chassis was recently brought down to this office for our inspection by the Autovarr Co., Richmond Road, Twickenham. This machine employs a 12 h.p. four-cylinder, water-cooled engine, having the cylinders cast en bloc. The valves are completely enclosed, while the tappets are adjustable ; Dosch ignition is fittest. Lubrication is by gear pump, the oil being filtered three times before reaching the bearings. A clearly-marked gauge on the dashboard notifies any shortness of lubricant to the engine. A leather faced cone clutch, fitted with steel spring insets, transmits the drive to a gearbox giving three forward speeds and a reverse ; ball-bearings are employed throughout. The road wheels are carried upon extensions of the axle casing, and are provided with double ball-thrust washers. The cardan shaft is enclosed in a torque tube, and, in addition, is fitted with radius rods, thus allow 10 ing the springs to perform only the work of carrying the load. Ample braking powers are provided, while a feature to be taken note of is that, in place of the usual sector type of steering, a complete hard ened steel wheel is used. A great feature is made of the fact that these machines run very satisfaatorily on paraffin as a fuel. Ties machine gave a good account of itself during a short test run.
