• Sainsbury's has formed a distribution and marketing partnership with three other European food retailers to help it expand on the Continent.
It has teamed up with Docks de France, the owner of the Mammouth hypermarkets; Delhaize from Belgium and Italian supermarket chain, Esselunga.
Sainsbury's says the partnership will allow the group to develop "opportunities in the European market in distribution, marketing, trading and information technology by exchanging information and contacts."
