• The founder of vehicle hire and distribution business Dawsongroup is rated as Britain's richest truck personality in The Sunday Times listing of most wealthy people.

According to the newspaper, Peter Dawson, recorded as Britain's 114th joint richest person, owned 75% of the company shares, valued at £100m at the start of this year, after growing nearly threefold in 1993.
