Limited companies with turnovers of less than £90,000 will be freed from the audit requirement, providing their gross assets do not exceed £1.4 million.
Limited companies with turnovers between £90,000 and £350,000 will benefit from the audit requirement being replaced by a cheaper "compilation report" by a qualified accountant. Hauliers operating from two to nine vehicles are most likely to be affected.
