• Carlisle Magistrates have decided that charges alleging that NE Transport & Plant Hire (Broughty Ferry), director Niels Christoffersen and transport manager Maurice Henderson aided and abetted drivers to falsify tachograph charts are so serious that they should be dealt with at the Crown Court.
Holiday money
• Tom Shanks Transport, of Aberdeen, has been ordered by an Industrial Tribunal to pay £357.60 to driver James Gammie. The tribunal decided that amount of money, in respect of holiday pay, had been unlawfully deducted from Gammie's wages.
